Peridance Contemporary Dance Company 2021 Audition

Peridance Contemporary Dance Company will conduct an open audition on Thursday September 2nd from 10:30am-3pm. There will be a callback on Friday September 3rd from 12:30pm-4pm. Dancers must have excellent ballet, contemporary, and improvisational skills, and must have versatility, musicality, and stage presence. 

Audition Details

To register, please complete the Google form here. Registration will close at midnight on Saturday August 28th. You will be notified by Sunday evening, August 29th, what time your audition slot will be on the 2nd. There will be no drop in registrations allowed on the day of the audition. Please bring a hard copy of your headshot and resume to the audition. There will not be class, so please come warmed up and ready to learn repertoire. 

If you are interested but unable to attend the in-person audition on Thursday September 2nd, please email your resume, headshot, and a link to an online dance reel to Hannah at pcdc@peridance.com. Please put "Virtual Audition" in the subject line of the email. Your submission will be reviewed and if the Company is interested, you will be invited to the in-person callback on Friday September 3rd from 12:30pm-4pm.

Position Details

Both Company dancer and apprentice contracts will be from September 20th through December 31st, with strong possibility to rehire for the Spring Season in 2022. Rehearsals will begin September 20th in preparation for 2-3 performances at Peridance's KnJ Theater on December 11-12th, 2021. Both apprentices and Company members rehearse approximately 15-20 hours/week. Company members are paid hourly and receive an additional stipend per performance. Apprentices are paid only for performances. The Company is not a union company. Peridance seeks to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all employees, and welcomes dancers of all backgrounds to audition for the Company.
