7MPR Themed Dance Theater 2022 - The First Midnight Performance 2/27(Deadline1/30)

7MPR Themed Dance Theater 2022 May Bukowski

7MPR Theme Dance Theater - Midnights Performance Series 2022

7Midnights Physical Research is dedicated to the exploration of 7 social issues: Class, Education, Ability, Sexuality, Race, Age, and Gender. Seven performances will take place throughout the year of 2022-2023, and each choreographer’s work presented will express one or more than one topic aligning with the themes of the seven social issues.

The 7 themes are going to be depicted by the dance movement through our “Theme Dance Theater” program. As 7 topics are inspired through academic dance research, a discussion party will be hosted right after each show  since the 7 issues are naturally aligned with the ideas of 7 deadly sins, and 7MPR's "themed dance" is aimed at investigating the dark side of human and how they shape our society, therefore, our discussion can related to more deep and interesting thinking about the relationship between the "7 Sins" and the "7 Issues."(Due to Covid, we temporarily hold off the discussion now).
