Artichoke Dance Company Seeks a Spring Intern!

Are you interested in the arts, dance, activism, and entrepreneurship? Do you feel passionate about climate justice and community engagement? This internship may be for you! 

Artichoke Dance Company is a national leader in eco-arts performance and climate action. Based in New York City, we are known for innovative and engaging performances paired with environmental activism, education, community building and civic engagement. Artichoke was founded in 1995 and has held 21 New York seasons and toured nationally and internationally.

Internship Description:

This internship will offer hands-on experience in arts administration, marketing, social media, and environmental activism. Interns will have the unique opportunity to aid in the launching of Artichoke Dance Company’s brand-new Artichoke Ambassadors program, an educational training program that aligns environmentally conscious art-making with climate and environmental justice action at collective and individual levels. The launch of this program will require diligent planning, administration, and marketing that will give the intern extraordinary professional experience in a variety of sectors. Aside from this project, the intern will have opportunities to lead relevant research projects, create social media content and execute campaigns, support community outreach initiatives, and aid in administrative duties.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience and interest in arts administration, marketing, entrepreneurship, and/or business administration. This internship can be done remotely and interns design their own schedules. This internship requires a minimum commitment of 5-7 hours per week for a minimum three month period. This is an unpaid opportunity, however interns can participate in the Artichoke Ambassador’s training for free.
