LIGHTING DESIGN ASSOCIATES NEEDED AT PERIDANCE CENTER

We are currently interviewing for one (or more) lighting design associates to work with me on a part-time basis at Peridance Center, located on 13th Street in New York City, with available work beginning on Friday, January 28 and continuing throughout the year. Associates should have a minimum of a BFA in Lighting Design (or Technical Theatre) and previous experience in design for dance. Current MFA students are also welcome to apply! General duties include: lighting design for dance, programming an ETC console, electrician experience in order to maintain the repertory plot, and the ability to climb a ladder working up to 15’ above the stage in the KnJ Theater at Peridance. The typical work cycle is: technical rehearsals on Friday evenings, performances on Saturday evenings, and additional technical rehearsals and/or performances on Sundays. Candidates should have a residence within the NYC Metro area and be able to easily commute to Manhattan as needed.
