Have you been invited to perform at a festival outside the United States? Performing abroad can lead to artistic growth and professional connections. USArtists International (USAI) provides grants of up to $18,000 toward eligible expenses for engagements abroad, either in-person or virtual. Boca Tuya (pictured), a 2021 grantee, said that "attending this festival and doing so with support from USAI has helped get us in the door for other granting and residency opportunities across the United States."

USAI supports performances by U.S. artists at international festivals and global performing arts marketplaces outside of the United States. Since it was established in 2006, USAI has helped fund more than 960 companies’ performances in 94 countries! The program supports individuals and ensembles across all performing arts practices and disciplines. Applicants that are not a 501(c)(3) nonprofit can apply using a fiscal sponsor with nonprofit status. Please read the guidelines for further detail.

The next deadline to apply is March 30, 2022. For this round, eligible engagements must happen between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023. *Mar. 30 applicants will be notified of grant awards by June 20, 2022.
