BENEFITS:

This is an opportunity to be a part a rebuilding and reimagining process for an arts organization which will give the right person time for creative administration as well as their artistic practice. This is an opportunity to work in the non for profit sector and make an impact on the NYC community, while connecting with an international network.

While some hours and dates will be set, the bulk of the administrative work is on a flexible schedule and we foresee at least 60% of the work being done remotely. We have a positive, supportive work environment and our company has over 50 contributing artists many of whom have worked with us for two decades. Our newest production "El Nuevo Tango" will be deaprting on tour to South America in March and most of our work involves cross-cultural collaborations.

We look to offer project based, part time, full time and internship opportunities based on applicant interviews and qualifications.

ABOUT US:

Leonardo Suarez Paz's PIAZZOLLA 100 is a multidisciplinary arts organization working across all disciplines and with a mission to further Nuevo Tango and its relationship to Jazz, Classical and Contemporary music & dance. We look at it as an international, unifying language and our work emphasizes the contributions of immigrants and women to the genre in conjunction with local cultures as elements that created its traditional form and continue to evolve it as an art form today.

Our programming is primarily multidisciplinary concerts and our current focus is building a performing arts series in New York. We are an artist lead organization with artists that are 60% immigrant, 70% minority, mainly Latino/Hispanic but also multiracial and African American. We are a multigenerational company, so age is not a factor for us - just a number. Experience, enthusiasm and a desire to learn and share with others is what counts.

We serve a culturally diverse audience due to this mission to unify people through the arts. We emphasize accessibility, the inclusion of families, disabled, aging, low-income, LGBTQIA, and Latinx communities and emphasize the genre's creative force: art created by immigrants of multiple cultural heritages in conjunction with local cultures.
