A.I.M by Kyle Abraham is seeking dynamic and virtuosic dancers to fill paid full-time and part-time* positions for our upcoming performance and touring seasons. Applicants must show an interest in an investigative process that includes an open mind and a willingness to work in a collaborative group environment. The audition process and ultimate employment requires the ability to learn choreography and phrase material via video. Artists of color and candidates of all gender identities are strongly encouraged to attend. 

A.I.M by Kyle Abraham performs domestically and internationally approximately 25 weeks of a calendar year. Community engagement is a central tenet of A.I.M’s organizational activities, with A.I.M company members leading workshops and technique classes of various levels.

A.I.M artistic personnel consists of full-time and part-time dancers. Compensation currently starts at $41k/year for full-time dancers and $22/hour for part-time dancers; commensurate with experience, based on company tenure, and reviewed annually for cost-of-living and merit-based increases. Dancers receive an annual length of service increase after five-years of employment. A.I.M supports full-time dancers with 52-week salaries, health insurance, and paid vacations/sick days. All A.I.M dancers receive creation royalties in perpetuity, applicable retirement contributions, professional development opportunities, and bodywork.

*Please note: 1 Full-time position available for immediate start. 2 Part-time positions available for immediate start with potential for one to move into full-time by late summer 2022. 

Audition Process for Interested Dancers

Round 1: Video Submissions; Open
Please complete this A.I.M Audition Submission Form and be prepared to provide the following:

- Basic Contact Information

- Headshot and Resume

- At least two references (contact information only, no reference letters please)

Once completed, you will receive a link to a phrase (approximately 1 minute) to be learned and filmed for submission. Deadline for video submissions: Wednesday, March 23, 2022 by 11:59pm ET. A.I.M encourages early submissions. Video submissions will be capped.

Round 2: Video Submissions; Call Backs
Invited applicants from Round 1 will be invited to submit additional submissions. Audition details and directions will be shared by Monday, March 28. Invited applicants should be prepared to return and submit their submissions by Wednesday, March 30, 2022

Round 3: In-Person; Final
Invited applicants from Round 2 may be invited to join the company in-person for company class, phrase work, and a brief interview/conversation. In-person audition in New York City will take place on Monday, April 4 and/or Tuesday, April 5, 2022. Time and location TBD.
