Applications are open for Artist After Hours’ second Emerging Artists Showcase! Submit HERE now until April 8th at 5pm.

The Emerging Artists Showcase is an evening celebrating artists’ work including live and dance films! Artists in the beginning stages of their career from various backgrounds will come together to share their work with an audience, network with peers and professionals alike, and become a part of a supportive community.

 

Submission Requirements:

- Application fee: None! 

- In the emerging stages of your career.

- Pieces submitted must be under 10 min in length.

 

Showcase Date:

May 1st at 5:00pm

Mark Morris Dance Center

3 Lafayette Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11217

 

Please be available from 2-7pm on Sunday, May 1st for tech and a post-show reception.

There will be a zoom production meeting on Wed, April 20th at 8pm, that is mandatory for choreographers.

 

Dance films will be projected live and in-person works will have the opportunity to be staged in the space before the performance. If selected, each piece is required to pay a $20 production fee (to cover administrative costs) and must invite at least 5 audience members to the performance. Promotional materials will be provided with the location and date of the performance. 

Applications close on Friday April 8th at 5pm EST. Applicants will be notified if their work will be presented by April 15th. Please email us with any questions at artistafterhours20@gmail.com.
