Company Auditions for Nova Linea Contemporary Dance

Nova Linea Contemporary Dance (Milwaukee, WI) will be holding auditions for their second season starting August 2022 through April 2023. We are seeking highly trained dancers with a special emphasis on Contemporary, Modern, and Jazz techniques. Nova Linea is committed to diversifying our artists and welcomes people from all races, ethnicities, gender identities, and sexual orientations to audition. The first round of auditions will take place virtually, followed by an interview, and finishing with an in-person call-back. For any questions, please email Jared at info@novalinedance.com. Requirements:

Be highly trained in contemporary dance, with a strong emphasis on classical modern and jazz techniques.
Be over the age of 20. A BFA or BA in dance is highly encouraged and recommended.
Be a U.S. Citizen and willing and able to relocate to Milwaukee, WI for the 2022-2023 season (from approximately August 2022 to April 2023). This is a contracted and paid position, with opportunities for more paid work by teaching at our workshops.
Believe in and be willing to contribute to the vision and mission of Nova Linea Contemporary Dance.
Submit all materials through Google Forms by Friday April 15th, 2022.

How to Audition:

Record and submit an approximately 60 second self-choreographed solo. This video should not be improvisation.
Learn and submit both phrases of Nova Linea Repertoire. Links to learn this videos are below.
Submit a resume and/or CV.
Provide a minimum of two references, along with their email address.
Write a short statement on why Nova Linea is a company you wish to be a part of.
Be prepared for a Zoom Interview if requested.
Be prepared for an In-Person Call-Back if requested.
