DANCE TEACHING ARTIST in QUEENS (after-school hours)

Amanda Selwyn Dance Theatre's arts education program, Notes in Motion, is seeking experienced Dance Teaching Artists for immediate openings for dance and movement after-school (3-5:30 p.m.) programs in Queens. These are paid teaching opportunities to inspire young people with dance!

Qualified candidates should have experience in a variety of dance forms including ballet, modern, jazz, tap, ballroom, hip hop, African, and/or creative dance training as well as a background in performance, improvisation, and choreography. experience teaching in NYC public schools (or similar settings) elementary, middle, and/or high school populations. Experience teaching theater, yoga, martial arts, and/or gymnastics also A PLUS! Bilingual in Spanish or Chinese a plus as well.

LESSON PLAN should be a creative dance (in any dance style) teaching lesson plan (a 50-minute session approximately) and indicate what age it is targeted for.
