Grant Opportunity for NYC-Based College/University Dance Seniors & Recent Grads
Calling all NYC-based dance seniors and recent graduates! B. Wilson Foundation is thrilled to announce that our 2022-2023 grant cycle is NOW OPEN! If you are an artist interested in producing your first evening length dance performance, we strongly encourage you to apply for our microgrant. B. Wilson Foundation is a fiscally sponsored grant organization committed to supporting the self-producing dance artist by awarding $500 toward production costs and providing mentorship throughout the creative process.
By offering this microgrant to college-level artists BWF is preparing them for real world experiences such as applying for grants, residencies, dance festivals etc. They will also understand the importance of budgeting, time management and planning when it comes to producing and leading a company. BWF’s top priority is to make the transition from college to professional as supportive as possible by bridging the funding gap between emerging and established artists.
BWF understands that $500 may not be sufficient in producing an evening-length production. Therefore, their goal is to encourage first time producers to practice other fundraising techniques and approaches.
