The Together in Dance team is:

Enthusiastic about empowering participants
Dedicated to continual and collaborative growth
Professional Development sessions are the place TID comes together to learn and deepen our pedagogical approaches. These are paid meetings, approximately 3-6 per year, and they are mandatory.

Experience in the professional arts world and/or at the college level as a dancer, choreographer, singer, musical director, or musical theater performer
Experience and/or a strong interest in teaching your arts discipline

An interest in introducing dancing and singing to a broad and diverse audience that often has limited performing arts experiences
A dedication to process and on-going reflection and growth in a collaborative setting
Commitment to an equitable and inclusive community
There is a mentorship aspect to this job. Based on the skills you come to Together in Dance with, there will be a paid training period where the TID programming and methodology is shared. There is also continual opportunity to see other TAs teach and host site visits.

Together in Dance is looking to immediately hire Teaching Artists to begin in-school residencies during Spring and Summer months. Residencies are typically scheduled once a week for 3-5 classes (typically 3-5 hours) for approximately 8-10 weeks. All Teaching Artists are placed on TID’s roster and offered residencies throughout the calendar year.

TAs are employed for a minimum of 2 “units”, ie, 90 minutes worth of time.
Facilitator Rate is contingent on experience and longevity in the field and with Together in Dance. The starting facilitator rate is between $55-$65 per class.

Ideation Rate - $50 per activity in preparing and reflecting from teaching
To apply, please send a resume and cover letter to togetherindance.search@gmail.com highlighting your relevant experience, interest in the position, and what unique qualities you can bring to our team!
