Job Title: Graphic Design & Social Media Intern (Performance Filming Focus)

Overview:

Peridance Center, a renowned dance institution located in the heart of New York City, is seeking a talented and motivated Graphic Design & Social Media Intern with a passion for the arts. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in graphic design, social media management, and performance filming within a dynamic and creative environment.

Responsibilities:

Execute flyer production based on pre-prepared designs, demonstrating basic knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop.

Perform photo editing tasks to enhance the quality and visual appeal of promotional materials.

Utilize provided templates to create programs for shows, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Film performances as required, capturing compelling footage for promotional purposes.

Assist in the conceptualization and execution of social media content, including but not limited to posts, stories, and campaigns.

Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm creative ideas and strategies for engaging with our online community.

Maintain a consistent brand image across all platforms, adhering to Peridance Center's style guidelines.

Other duties as assigned to support the marketing and communications objectives of Peridance Center.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop, preferred.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established design templates.

Basic understanding of photography and photo editing techniques.

Familiarity with social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Creative thinking and the ability to contribute innovative ideas.

Passion for the performing arts and a desire to support Peridance Center's mission.

Must be able to commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week for a duration of 6 months.
