Lori Belilove & The Isadora Duncan Dance Company seeks 1-2 Apprentices, and 2-3 Candidates for the Pre-Professional Trainee Program starting June 2024.

Audition Dates: June 11th, June 13th, June 15th & June 22nd.

The Apprenticeship position is a one year role. Apprentices train alongside the Company, taking classes and participating in rehearsals and other activities on a per-project basis.  Apprentices gain performing experience by participating in lecture/demonstrations and group works in a formal setting (as available). Apprentices are assessed (approximately every 4 months) by private meetings with Artistic Director Lori Belilove. Upon completion of the Apprenticeship and on an individual basis, Apprentices may be invited into full Company membership by Artistic Director Lori Belilove.

 

The Pre-professional Trainee program is a 6 month role. Ideal for dancers who are currently enrolled in school or seeking high caliber professional training. Dancers within the program receive access to all of our weekly class offerings, quality attention from Lori Belilove and senior company members, and invitation to company rehearsals, workshops, and performances on a per project basis. Dancers who participate in the Pre-Professional Trainee Program benefit from immersive, extensive dance training in the Isadora Duncan style, gain experience from interacting with a professional dance company, and develop connections with Teaching Artists within The Isadora Duncan Dance Foundation. Tuition is $1,800, scholarships available please inquire.

 

Important Dates: Candidates who are available to attend June 24th - June 29th Workshop will be strongly considered (Workshop is free to Apprentices, and included in tuition price for Pre-Professional Trainees)
