Performance Project with Akira Uchida

Dates: Wednesday, July 31 - Saturday, August 3 (2:00-6:00pm), and Sunday, August 4 (8:00-11:00am [BREAK] Show at 2:30pm)

Level: Advanced dancers ages 17+
Note: Attendance is mandatory for all days. Participants need to apply and will be notified of program acceptance by Monday, June 24.

The project includes:

-Learn the fundamental principles and ideas behind Akira's movement vocabulary 
-Daily warm-up / improvisational work & phrase work 
-Group discussion and play
-Compositional exploration to integrate the information in movement 
-Build meaningful connections in a welcoming space 
-Filmed live performance at Peridance's KnJ Theater
