The Merce Cunningham Trust is holding and audition for two of its summer workshops on Saturday June 15th from 10AM-1PM at the New York Center for Creativtiy and the Arts at 287 East 10th St in Manhattan. 

The first workshop will be held from July 1-12th, during which Jennifer Goggans will teach the Cunningham dance, Tread. 

The second workshop will be held from August 6-16th, during which Jean Freebury will teach the Cunningham dance, Fielding Sixes. 

The workshops are free of charge for chosen participants. The workshop will begin each day with a class or warm-up at approximately 10AM and will be followed by rehearsals from 12-4PM.  The last day of each workshop will be extended to allow time for a public showing. 

You do not need to be available for both workshops in order to audition.

If you are interested and cannot audition, we can make an alternative arrangement for you to be considered. 

A limited number of stipends will also be given for these workshops for qualifying dancers.
