The Dance Union Podcast seeks a Communications Manager

The Dance Union Podcast seeks a Communications Manager to join our collective of change-makers in the dance field. If applicable, please reach out to let us know how we can meet your access needs in applying for this position.

TDUP seeks someone passionate about equity in the dance field, who is bold in speaking out against oppression, engaged in critical dialogue, and receptive and graceful to accountability. We are seeking someone experienced and skilled in galvanizing communities. 

Duties would include: 

- Lead communications and social media strategy

- Consistent posting & engagement across all online channels (includes Patreon, Substack, and Website)

- Designing & implementing graphics and other marketing materials

- Collaborating and conspiring with all TDUP members for future communications/social media strategies & vision

- Collaborating and conspiring with all TDUP members on TDUP’s role in the community & future projects

- Attend bi-monthly, hour-long meetings

The Communications Manager will be a major support in the upcoming launch of our next season of the podcast and our upcoming Writing Hub. This is a hybrid role with preference given to those located in NYC. The Communications Manager is a collaborative visionary who will work alongside the TDUP Team mostly asynchronously, and attend bi-monthly meetings/occasional co-working sessions. All TDUP team receive a monthly $300 stipend and work at a capacity built on shared workload. 

TDUP is a collective of dance change-makers, radically dreaming for the future of dance and how it sits in our world. TDUP functions foundationally on systems of care, resource-sharing, and humanness.
