DANCERS CALL FOR 2024/25 PROJECT: AUDREY THAO BERGER

Project Information: This project is part of a new creation for the University Settlement Artist in Residence program. I am casting 1-2 dancers for a 40 minute piece. I am looking for collaborative, open-minded individuals who are comfortable with contemporary movement, improvisation, floorwork, and partner work. 

Qualities appreciated in an artist include: commitment, athleticism, adaptability, and  social justice oriented,

Project Timeline: September 9th, 2024 to May 2025

Project Dates: 

September, October, November 2024: Monday evening rehearsals 

January, February, March, April 2025: Monday and Wednesday evening rehearsals

Late April/Early May: Shows (exact dates TBD)

Location Requirement:

New York City residents only or must be able to commute to rehearsal venues in Manhattan, Queens, & Brooklyn.  

Compensation: $700 stipend*

*This is the maximum I can provide at the moment. I’ll be applying for additional funding throughout the year, and any additional funds will be used to increase compensation.

The video should be 1-5 minutes in length and you should be clearly identifiable
