Tuesday Sept 17th 10am-12pm:

10-10:45: Warm-UP, 10:45-11:15: GREYZONE repertory, 11:15-12pm: guided scores and improvisations.

Wednesday Sept 18th 6pm-8pm:

6-6:45: Warm-up, 6:45-7:15: GREYZONE repertory, 7:15-8: guided scores and improvisations.

Pricing: $20 / Day

Each workshop will begin with a technical warm-up that focuses on anatomical alignment & awareness. Participants will be led through a series of exercises in Fines’ distinct movement style, rooted in release and her training in Cunningham Technique. The warm-up is designed to prepare the body, and to establish a solid technical base to facilitate moving with freedom, confidence, and clarity. In the repertory section of class, dancers will learn phrases from current GREYZONE works, challenging participants’ technicality, movement dynamics, and patterning. The workshop will conclude with guided scores and improvisations informed by chance methods that are utilized by Fines to build material with GREYZONE collaborators. Attend one or both!

Attendance to both workshops is recommended but not required. These workshops are for professional dancers and are a part of a NYSCA Support for Artists Award to present AMPLITUDE. AMPLITUDE will premiere at Mark Morris Dance Center’s Duffy Performance Space on September 20th and 21st at 7pm on a split-bill with Emily Kessler / POGO.
