Whim W’Him is seeking experienced contemporary dancers for the 2025-2026 season for a minimum of 30 weeks contract in Seattle, WA, starting on May 26th, 2025.

Applications are due no later than 5pm PST on Sunday, January 19, 2025.
Olivier Wevers, Artistic Director, will select dancers to audition in-person.
All applicants will receive an emailed copy of their submission as confirmation of receipt.
All applicants for the Seattle audition will be notified on January 31, 2025.
All applicants for the NYC audition will be notified on February 7. 2025.
 
The in-person audition will be led by Karl Watson, Company Manager and Director of Education.
No warm up will be provided.
The first round will consist of repertoire and improvisation.
During callbacks, final candidates will be asked to partner.

We will do our best to honor your selected group preference if you’re invited to audition in person but cannot guarantee placement in those groups. If invited, you are guaranteed the city you selected.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

Dancers must be at least 18 years old and able to work legally in the USA.
We are unable to sponsor visas for foreign workers.
Only U.S. citizens or those currently possessing a valid visa or green card will be considered.
This position requires an on-site presence in studios and theaters in Seattle and the surrounding areas.

START & END DATES + DETAILS

Contracts begin May 26, 2025

Minimum of 30 weeks contract in Seattle, WA
Workweek: Monday to Friday 9am – 1pm & 1:30pm – 3:30pm (Workdays falling on weekends during performances, intensives, and special events)
$940.50 per week
Physical and Mental Health Stipend reimbursement of $2,000 (for the season)
On-site Physical Therapy Program and Athletic Training Program
Free massages (3 hours/month)
Covered by the WA State Department of Labor and Industry
Teaching opportunities at company intensives
Option to join the faculty of the Whim W’Him Contemporary Dance Center
