A Weekend of Dance

A Weekend of Dance Julietta Cervantes

Andrew Jannetti & Dancers and Jessica Lewis Arts have joined forces to present an evening of new works as well as works from the repertory. This concert features choreography by Andrew Jannetti and Jessica Lewis with original music scores by Marty Beller and Adam Caine, as well as a live musical performance lead by Adam Caine. In addition, guest choreographer Kriota Willberg will be reconstructing one of her solos for Mr. Jannetti.

ANDREW JANNETTI & DANCERS has been in existence since 1982. Since that time Mr. Jannetti has choreographed over 35 pieces for his company, which has performed throughout the United States and Europe. In addition, Mr. Jannetti has had his choreography commissioned by the American Ballet Russe of Long Island, The Fort Wayne Dance Collective of Indiana, Dance Designs, American Dance Ensemble, The Moving Company of Newport, R.I., Kids Cafe Festival, Jan Gero, Ed Brodkin, and various summer festivals throughout the metropolitan area. His work has been critically acclaimed in the New York Times: as "very much a neo-romantic" and "dramatically persuasive", as well as in Backstage: Jannetti makes dances that are clear, bare boned and often visually striking and also in Attitude Magazine: a tenacious designer of movement and, the spatial environment they require.

JESSICA LEWIS ARTS is a modern dance company focusing on historically based modern dance forms and integration with multimedia, interdisciplinary works, theater, and new choreographic endeavors. The company is a collaborative project which is lead by Artistic Director and Founder Jessica Lewis. Jessica Lewis Arts has performed throughout the NYC Metropolitan area and is under the umbrella of Andrew Jannetti & Dancers, with whom she has performed since she was 12 years old.
