The Playground NYC, in partnership with Gibney, is offering Online Studio, digital dance space. Join us, wherever you are for LIVE online classes with teaching artists in New York City and around the world. Let’s keep moving together and finding new ways to connect. Classes are open to movers of all levels! 

 

Classes will be streamed live via ZOOM. Participants must pre-register for class and create a (free) ZOOM account to join.  Registration will close 20 minutes before the class time. Fifteen minutes before class, you will receive an email with the ZOOM link.

Class description: 

This class is built to reconnect us with our bodies, our imaginations, and our wellbeing. A strengthening and enlivening warmup leads into phrase work and an exploration of Alice’s unique movement style. Designed for small spaces. 


 

Bio:

Alice Klock danced and choreographed for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago from 2009-2018. She has choreographed for universities and companies worldwide, has been the winner of numerous choreographic competitions, and was named one of Dance Magazine's 25 to Watch in 2018. In 2017 she co-founded FLOCK with Florian Lochner, a dance company she now co-directs, choreographs, and dances for. It is her priority to create work with kindness, humanity, and an emphasis on the beauty inherent within each person.
