Bored House Guests

Bored House Guests

Committed to making the creative process a public forum, Hook and Matteson embarked on the creation of their duet, "Bored House Guests",  with a 30-minute, unplanned improvisation performance at Green Street Studios in Boston last December.  Every ensuing developmental period has culminated in a public showing where they invite audience reactions and ideas about "What's next?" So far the piece can be described as an extravagant reckoning with the conceits of the balletic pas de deux, and an unabashed, conscientious celebration of their bodies' archive of movement investigation (about 50 years between the two of them). The work features music by avant-garde rock artist Nick Didkovsky and the metal band Vomit Fist!
