Choreography for Film

Emma Evelein

The young, dynamic and award-winning Dutch choreographer of Sisters, who appeared in last year’s Battery Dance Festival, Emma Evelein,  shares her approach to design of movement connected to a story or a feeling translated by film. Among the several aspects to be addressed: camera, light, color, texture, dancers’ skill, and build-up. She will then teach a little phrase from Sisters and explore how you might translate it in your own style of movement directing.

Join Emma as she leads a workshop on August 17, 2020 at 10am EDT ($1.00 registration fee)
