DANCERS PROTEST TODAY MAY 2 545PM - 7PM

DANCERS HAVE RIGHTS have organized a small peaceful protest with support of the police precint for dancers to protest NYCB on the sidewalk in front of the steps at Lincoln Center today Thursday, May 2nd at 6pm-7pm. This is a peaceful protest, no sounds, yelling, music or etc. We will simply be able to hold signs and be on the sidewalk. It is the night of their gala.

We have rights. We have the right to work in an environment that is safe. We have the right to stand up to institutions who say sexual harrasment of women is okay. We have the right to inform the community, audiences, and donors who give money to support these institutions and their heirarchy of degrading dancers.

For dancers who would like to be anonymous as there will be press there, we encourage you to wear a ski mask or scarf etc on your face. We are a very small group right now so please bring your friends.

1) no foul language on your posters

2) no music, yelling, loud noise making

3) we encourage everyone to wear pink so we are matching/can find each other

4) sidewalk in front of the steps at Lincoln Center

Our email is dancershaverights@yahoo.com, or just show up.
