Dancer Inside New York

Dancer Inside New York Simone Ghera

The Italian Cultural Institute is pleased to announce the opening of the exhibition-event of the Italian architect and photographer Simone Ghera, scheduled for Sunday, June 12,th 2016, at the studios of Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance.
The photographic composition is generated by the architecture, in a game of contrast and harmony with the inclusion of the dancers in a structural and architectural context (stairs, buildings, perspective locations). The artist's aim is to integrate, through the geometric composition of lines and perspectives, the universal language of dance with the architectural richness and materials typical of territorial identities. Simone’s shots show absolute spatial, where horizons, gravity, points of view and the very surfaces the dancers are moving on are purely arbitrary.

In New York, after the many stages in Europe and abroad (Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid, Milan, Rome, Vienna, Prague, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Baku, Rio de Janeiro), the subjects of copyright shots involving dancers from major US companies, photographed in New York location.
