Dig Dance: Taylor, Joffrey, Arpino - Deliciously Alternative Classics

Party Mix with Paul Taylor, Bettie de Jong, Carolyn Adams, Molly Moore,Jane Kosminski

The 1960s produced dancers walking down buildings and doing the twist, but it also produced classic dances that ripped the field.

Several of these will be seen on this classic ballet and modern dance program, where ballet and modern dances complement each other, including Aureole (1961) by Paul Taylor, the newly revived Gamelan (solo and trio) (1962, not seen since 1967) by Robert Joffrey, the newly revived Party Mix (1963) by Paul Taylor, and Viva Vivaldi (excerpts) (1965) by Gerald Arpino.
