A solo performance by Maritea Dæhlin that takes us to the limit of our loneliness.

I ENVY THE KANGAROOS is a devised solo-performance which engages the audience to a poetic and visual world whilst exploring the idea of otherness and ownership.  As in her earlier work, Maritea Dæhlin plays with the idea of creating a non-linear poetic world filled with physical actions and text, as well as the idea of selling artistic solutions to real, jet absurd, problems. In this way the stage is transformed into a complex world of emotions, images, rituals, anecdotes, songs and objects, which welcome absurdity and humour, bringing us to the limits of our loneliness. The piece has been shown at various venues in Chiapas and Oaxaca in Mexico; Chicago in USA and in Oslo, Norway.

Featuring:
Maritea Dæhlin: Concept, director, text and performer
Ursula Lascurain Holguin: Costume and Props
