INSIGHTS: OPEN REHEARSAL & DISCUSSION PANNEL

Join us on March 19th from 5:30-6:30 PM at the Alvin Ailey Studios for a rare opportunity to witness Pointeworks’ creative process in action. This special event offers a unique glimpse into the development of new works before their highly anticipated debut.
In addition to an immersive rehearsal experience featuring Pointeworks’ talented dancers, this event will include a compelling panel discussion on the importance of creating a platform for female voices in the arts. We are honored to welcome Ashley Bouder, former principal dancer with New York City Ballet and a passionate advocate for equity in ballet, as our special guest.

EVENT SCHEDULE:
Introduction (5 minutes): A brief introduction to Pointeworks, our dancers, and choreographers.
Rehearsal Viewing (35 minutes): Watch excerpts being rehearsed from the new works as the dancers refine and shape the performance in real time.
Panel Discussion (20 minutes): A compelling conversation on the importance of creating a platform for female voices in the arts, with a focus on dance—choreographers and composition.
PANELISTS
Ashley Bouder (Special Guest & Director, The Ashley Bouder Project)
A recently retired principal dancer with New York City Ballet, Bouder is a passionate advocate for equity in ballet and a champion of female choreographers.
Sophie Williams (Director & Moderator)
Artistic director and founder of Pointeworks, Williams is dedicated to amplifying female voices in the arts through innovative programming and leadership.
Heather Nichols (Choreographer)
An emerging choreographer, Nichols will present her work Meraki in an open rehearsal, with performances on March 21 and 22 at Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater.
Nicole Von Enck (Principal Dancer & Choreographer)
A principal dancer with Texas Ballet Theater and a performer with Pointeworks, Von Enck is also an emerging choreographer whose work was featured in Pointeworks' inaugural season.
Paige Nyman (Principal Dancer & Founding Board Member, Pointeworks)
A principal dancer with Texas Ballet Theater, Nyman is also a dancer and founding board member of Pointeworks, contributing to the organization's artistic vision and mission.

VIP Tickets $50 (includes signed poster and meet & greet with artists)
General Admission $30 (limited and will be released the week of the rehearsal, depending on availability)
Student & Artist Discount Tickets: $20 with valid ID. This special discounted ticket is available to those actively engaged in the arts and is limited in quantity.
Tax Deductible: Pointeworks is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so all contributions are tax-deductible and directly benefit the artists.
