Valentina Kozlova announces the 6th annual Kozlova International Ballet Competition, this year dedicated to Violette Verdy, who was active in VKIBC from the beginning.   134 dancers from 20 countries around the world, from Russia to Eduador, will gather in NY to dance for company contracts, scholarships to dance institutions around the world, and monetary awards.   The distinguished panel of judges will be led by Andris Liepa (Russia), Mikko Nissinen (Finland) as Honorary Chairman, and will include such luminaries as Nina Ananiashvili (Georgia), Nikolai Tsiskaridze (Russia), and Martine Van Van Hamel (USA).    Daily schedules vary, so please visit the website for details: www.vkibc.org    The event will come to a grand finale Saturday April 30 with the 6 PM Awards Ceremony, followed by a 7 PM Gala Performance featuring medalists and special guests Daniel Ulbricht and Erica Pereira of New York City Ballet dancing the Tschaikovsky Pas de Deux  (in memory of Violette Verdy), and the Washington Ballet's Brooklyn Mack and Kimura Ayano.
