MOLD (Moving Out Loud) A Diversity in Dance Summit Jaqlin Medlock

MOLD (Moving Out LouD), presents its first summit highlighting the voices and experiences of Black artists in the dance community.

Co-sponsored by Marymount Manhattan College and The Black Iris Project, and initiated by students at the College, MOLD is a one-day summit designed to promote diversity in dance by providing an inclusive and informative arena for millennial dancers of color through dialogue and movement. The mission of MOLD is to empower the millennial generation to ignite change within our dance community by identifying issues of discrimination within the field and bring awareness to these inequalities.

The MOLD Summit will take place on Saturday March 18th, 2017 from 12pm to 6pm in the Great Hall of Marymount Manhattan College at 231 E 71st street, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. This event is also co-hosted by the Black Iris Project. College dance departments in the tri-state area have been specially invited. All are encouraged to attend as the event is open to the public.

Natasha Diamond- Walker, Danelle Morgan, Jeremy Mcqueen and Robert Taylor

11:30am: Sign In & Registration Opens
12pm: Welcome/Opening Remarks
12:30pm: Breakout Discussions
1:30-1:45pm: Break
1:45-3:45pm: Breakout Round-up and Panel Discussion
3:45-4:30pm: Mix & Mingle
4:30-6:00pm: Master Class with Omari Mizrahi

Register for tickets at https://moldmovingoutloud.eventbrite.com/ by March 15th, 2017 for the $25 special. Day-of cash/card registrations are welcome for the price of $30. Tickets prices include the master class, panelist discussion, mix and mingle with panelists, and a student led professional development workshop.
