Mark DeGarmo Dance presents "Las Fridas"

Mark DeGarmo Dance presents Las Fridas Leon Anthony James

Mark DeGarmo Dance continues its fall performance season with November performances of Las Fridas, a 60-minute transcultural, transdisciplinary, dance-theater duet choreographed and directed by Mark DeGarmo. This piece is inspired by the many dualities in the life and artwork and life of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. NY critics heralded Las Fridas as “brilliant,” “mesmerizing,” and “fearless.”

Artistic associates for over 30 years, Marie Baker-Lee and Mark DeGarmo will perform the two roles.
