Martha Matinees: "Night Journey"

Martha Graham as Jocasta in "Night Journey"

Martha Graham Dance Company's popular Martha Matinees series continues with Night Journey, Graham's extraordinary re-telling of the Oedipus myth through the eyes of his wife and mother, Queen Jocasta.

We’ll screen the full-length 1961 production starring Martha Graham, Bertram Ross, and Paul Taylor - alongside rarely-seen home movies from the Company's 1954 European tour, and other gems from our archives. Special guests will join Janet Eilber and Oliver Tobin in the live chat!
