Applications are open for the Annual OKLAHOMA INTERNATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL,  July 25-August 8, 2021, held at the UCO campus in Edmond, Oklahoma. 

With serious dancers 16 years and older in mind, this two-week summer intensive provides training in a rigorous and close-knit atmosphere, offering coaching and performance opportunities with a renowned faculty of national and international dance artists.  Six dance studios with classes happening simultaneously while complying with ongoing social distancing needs and adhering to gathering guidelines as outlined by the CDC and the State of Oklahoma. Dancers can choose to commute every day or be housed in the UCO dormitories with other students of similar age. Only single rooms are available.

Classes offered: Classical Ballet, Contemporary Pointe, Modern Technique, GAGA/Dancers, Improvisation, West African, Variations & Repertory, GYROKINESIS®, and Pilates. Dancers will learn the faculty repertory with a culminating performance.

This year’s faculty includes Brian Brooks (USA), Margo Sappington (USA), Vincent Gros (France/Spain), Larry Keigwin (USA), Sherone Price (USA), Raffaele Irace (Italy/Germany), Roser Muñoz (Spain), Leticia Plans (Paraguay/Spain), Colin Connor (USA/UK), Alejandra Jara (Germany/Paraguay), Fred Davis (USA), Ada Gonzales (Spain/Bucarest), Alba Nadal (Spain/Germany), OIDF Artistic Director Austin Hartel and Emerging Artist in Residence Lindy Fines.

Let your summer dancing count towards your degree! All dancers who complete a full course load for two weeks during the Oklahoma International Dance Festival may earn up to four college credit hours from UCO.
