Pina by Wim Wenders

Pina by Wim Wenders

As part of a series of 3D films, BAMcinématek presents Wim Wenders' Pina

Wim Wenders revolutionizes dance on film in this ecstatic tribute to legendary choreographer Pina Bausch (who died just before filming commenced). Some of Bausch’s most iconic works—including “Kontakthof,” “Café Müller,” and the water-splashed spectacle “Vollmond”—are performed onstage and on the streets of Wuppertal, Germany. Making innovative use of 3D and virtuoso crane shots, Wenders presents a whole new way of seeing Bausch’s work. Screens with Loops.
