SANNIDHI (Sacred Space)

Aparna Ramaswamy’s choreography and performance have been described as “a marvel of buoyant agility and sculptural clarity” (Dance Magazine), “thrillingly three-dimensional,” and “enchantingly beautiful,” (The New York Times). Ms. Ramaswamy, a protégé of legendary Bharatanatyam artist Alamel Valli, will perform Sannidhi, illuminating the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine whose timeless duality forms the continuous pulse of the universe. In five sections, this work weaves together music and movement, rhythm and lyric, spirit and emotion, creating an invisible link between dancer, musicians and audience. A must see!
