Sokolow Intensive Summer workshop

Sokolow Intensive Summer workshop © Sokolow Ensemble

Teachers: Jim May, Eleanor Bunker

Course description:
This class will feature the Bossa Nova section from Anna Sokolow’s 1965 creation of  ”Opus 65″, which she choreographed on the Joffrey Ballet in that same year.  The workshop will focus on her ‘street’ dances and implement jazz into the class.  The class is limited, because of space, to only 12 people, which will also give the feeling of a ‘gang’.  Some research into New York City back in 1965 would be recommended.

When: June 22-26, 2015

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 1:00-3:00pm
Tuesday 12:00 – 2:00 pm

Where: Keystone Studio
252 West 30th Street (#4B)
between 7-8 Ave (south side)
