This Special annual Harlem event gives you room to explore and get a Great Taste of Harlem’s famed Jazz and Lindy Hop Culture!  Due to Storm and flooding September 29th , this new date gives you a chance to join in tyhe Harlemn History of Jazz and Dance

PROGRAM

Theme: Celebrating and Keeping Harlem’s Jazz & Lindy Hop Legacy Alive! 

 

​6PM — Film: The Savoy King (60m) Jazz Master Chick Webbs Legacy with the Savoy Ballroom

7PM — Panel Discussion: Keeping Harlem’s Jazz and Lindy Hop Culture in its Harlem Home  (also Vintage Harlem Lindy Hop clips!) 

7pm - Interview with Mr. Harlem Arts & Culture Voza Rivers about making the Savoy King

7:20pm - Honoring Savoy Ballroom Legend and Harvest Moon Ball Champ Sonny Allen

7:40pm - Preservationist and Historian Ralph Hopkins: The  1960's/70s: Harvest Moon Ball, Mama Lu Parks

8pm - Mini Swinging Lindy Hop Dance Lesson

8PM —  Social Dance with the Jazzy Sounds of the Savoy Ballroom Legacy! (Billie, Cab, Chick, Count, Duke, Ella and more!)
