Triskelion Arts is pleased to present REDUX, a reprisal of Kathy Wasik’s "Granny Knot" and Quentin Burley Dance Group’s "QBDG: a Pseudo-Event" at 8pm on May 4th in the Muriel Schulman Theater. Quentin's work made its debut during a blizzard. Kathy's was up against the Superbowl. Both are witty, exceptional, must-see projects that we are pleased to bring back to the stage for one night only.

Kathy Wasik’s "Granny Knot" focuses on transitions. It attempts to turn what would normally be the connective tissue of a work into the meat and bones of the piece. The work challenges performer and viewer alike to ask how we distinguish between a landmark and a transition, and what happens when we invert our value systems. Performed by Erin Cairns and Kathy Wasik.

Quentin Burley Dance Group presents an evening-length work inspired by animation, surrealism, and sitcom humor. The piece analyzes how human movement is illustrated in media and recreates it on stage in a cinematic structure. Through virtuosic movement fantasies coupled with over acted pretension, this sardonic mess of live performance will titillate, humor, and raise a wry smile.
