VENOMOUS

VENOMOUS Christina Oliver

BARE Dance Company premieres VENOMOUS, a new evening-length work about a man struggling to find his true sexual identity. As a witness to this physically difficult, thrilling, and at times lonely journey, the viewer is led through his story. Upon entrance, seventeen dancers guide the audience through different vignettes prompting them along the path to their seats, and then drawing them into the ups and downs of this transformative moment in time.

This piece is made possible by the CUNY Dance Initiative (CDI), a new residency program providing generous rehearsal and performance space to NYC choreographers and dance companies, allowing companies such as BARE to work with a host—LaGuardia Performing Arts Center — to produce a unique, visual, and immersive experience for its audiences.

For tickets please visit www.laguardiaperformingarts.org, $20- Online advance, $15- student/senior, $25- at the door price. The experience begins when doors open at 7:30pm.
