Internationale Tanzmesse Town Hall Videos

On Dec. 1, Dance/NYC hosted a Town Hall Meeting on the topic of the Internationale Tanzmesse.  The Internationale Tanzmesse NRW in Dusseldorf is a biennial marketplace and festival platform for communicating and networking in the field of contemporary dance. At Tanzmesse, dance companies and artists from all over the world present their work live on stage, and choreographers, dancers, agencies, presenters and cultural institutions worldwide network and co-operate in a lively marketplace.  Dance/USA sponsored a US delegation to attend this past August. The Town Hall featured presentations from 4 different US delegates -  Christy Bolingbroke (Mark Morris Dance Group); Brian Brooks (Brian Brooks Moving Company); Anna Amadei (Elsie Management); and Christie Zummo (Jennifer Muller/The Works) - using a presentation style called pecha kucha.  Pecha kucha is based around a simple slide presentation format of 20 slides 20 seconds each; that's a total presentation of 6.6 minutes from each person.  The videos below are of each 6 minute presentation:
