Be a New Yorker for Dance REGISTRATION CLOSED

Dear New Yorker:

We are writing today because we know you are already a champion of the art form to invite your participation in the NEW YORKERS FOR DANCE video campaign. Launched by Dance/NYC in 2013, this campaign features personal statements from New Yorkers on why dance matters to the city.

This year, we are opening the campaign up to include statements on why dance matters to legislative districts in all five boroughs to make localized cases for investment and engagement. We know you know why dance matters to neighborhood vibrancy, and that you know others who do, too, and we hope you will help us bring these stories into the limelight.

To join us, please send us your details through this survey. We are working quickly to offer filming sessions for a limited number, but at least 5, individual videos in each borough over the next two months. We will accommodate filming for your video on a first-come, first-served basis for each legislative district and depending on your availability for scheduled shoots.

Please share this invitation with anyone with a unique story to share - unlikely suspects encouraged - and consider joining us.

For sample NEW YORKERS FOR DANCE videos, visit YouTube.com/DanceNYCorg, and read more in The New York Times about how this campaign is already “Bringing New York City Dance Into the Limelight."

Thank you for all you do for dance,

Lane and the team at Dance/NYC
