Act Now to Save NEH and IMLS
Protect Funding for Our Museums, Libraries and Cultural Institutions

Right now, the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) are under severe threat. After visits from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), both agencies face cuts of up to 70% of staff. Join Dance/NYC in calling for the protection of our federal cultural agencies.

Why this matters:
These cuts represent significant attacks on our national cultural infrastructure. The NEH and IMLS fund and service cultural institutions across the country—museums, archives, libraries, public TV and radio and more—bolstering the ability of everyday people to participate in arts and culture. These cuts leave both agencies unable to perform their duties, with the NEH already having to cancel 1,200 grants that support culture and history programs across the country. The arts and culture community must work to safeguard these institutions and protect our livelihoods.

What you can do:
Contact your Congress members and let them know you support the IMLS and the NEH
