About: Join the Dance/NYC Field-Wide Call on Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 4:00–5:00 p.m. on Zoom to learn how to advocate for and stay engaged in ensuring support for arts and culture workers in NYC.
Learn about:
• NYC’s recent elections and why it is important to engage in local primaries as an arts and culture worker
• Ways to support legislation and budgets that affect you
• Why communicating with your local community leaders and elected officials matters
• Advocacy groups you can join that focus on issues particular to you and your dance + cultural community
• And more!
New York City is teeming with community leaders, groups and elected officials working to support arts and culture in our communities. Join us to gain insight into ways you can engage, why it’s important to do so, who is doing advocacy work, and how you can get involved.
