• NYC’s recent elections and why it is important to engage in local primaries as an arts and culture worker 
• Ways to support legislation and budgets that affect you
• Why communicating with your local community leaders and elected officials matters
• Advocacy groups you can join that focus on issues particular to you and your dance + cultural community
• And more!

New York City is teeming with community leaders, groups and elected officials working to support arts and culture in our communities. Join us to gain insight into ways you can engage, why it’s important to do so, who is doing advocacy work, and how you can get involved.

ASL interpretation and additional accessibility services are available upon request with registration up to 24 hours in advance of the meeting, or by emailing research@dance.nyc. Dance/NYC will try to accommodate requests made after this deadline but cannot guarantee the availability of access providers less than 24 hours prior to the event.
