DEADLINE EXTENDED: In-Sight Dance Company is accepting applications for 2 Summer Dance Festivals!

 
This summer In-Sight Dance Company is curating two dance festivals within our Queens Community.  Our goal for these festivals is to bring a diverse array of high quality dance to our community while giving dance companies and artists an opportunity to perform for new audiences.  For application guidelines and additional information, please visit http://www.insightdance.org/insightsummer2011festivalapp/  Please e-mail us the application information by April 5th (extended deadline) .  All applicants will be contacted by April 9th.

In-Sight Dance Company is interested in submissions in all genres of dance.  All pieces submitted should be no longer than 8 minutes.  Solo pieces should be no longer than 4 minutes.  Performance artists are encouraged to apply to the Queens Fringe Festival.

Queens Fringe Festival
The 2011 Queens Fringe Festival will include Theater, Dance, Comedy and Music events that take place throughout Long Island City and Astoria.  The dance component will take place at the festival’s home base, the Secret Theatre (located around the corner from MoMa’s PS1).  The dance component of the Queens Fringe will also be a part of the LIC Open Arts Festival.

Performance dates: May 10th or May 11th
All companies will perform on May 15th.
Required Tech Rehearsal on the evening on May 9th. 
$25 production fee for those companies/artists performing in the Queens Fringe Festival.

In-Sight Suite Summer Festival
The In-Sight Suite Summer Festival is in its second year.  In 2010, we invited 5 dance companies/artists to participate.  This year, we are looking for 10 guest companies/artists to participate in the festival. 
Performance dates: July 28th, 29th, 30th at 8pm and July 31st at 2pm.
Required Tech Rehearsal: Wednesday, July 27th. 

No production fee.

Please note: There is no application fee to apply for either festival.
