The Equus Projects is looking for an Intern

 
The Equus Projects is a dance company that partners dancers with horses to create site-specific performances which merge the artistry of dance and horsemanship. The company engages in on-going movement research that explores dancing in real time and the choreographic possibilities for shaping task-based physicality into theatrical image.

The Equus Projects is looking for a self motivated Intern who will help with the areas of Development and Strategic Planning.

Duties will include:

Research for grants in multiple fields: equestrian, dance, multi-disciplinary, scientific integration, and beyond Perform the back-end research to develop relationships within multiple creative communities. (online, academic, artistic, equestrian, and others) Assist with the development and funding of alternative income streams including an educational DVD set, site specific performance series, and much more Other projects which may include documenting rehearsals for grants, developing materials for teaching kits, and other projects which the intern is drawn to.

This internship will require great enthusiasm for exploring the untapped resources for the arts in our communities. Prospective Intern should be at least a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate academic program. Masters degree students (and those beyond) are encouraged to apply as well. Intern will be answering directly to the Managing Director. Exposure to the dance world is not necessary.

Internship will be approx. 10 hours per week which can be based largely on telecommuting, with some office time. Please provide your own computer (laptop or other) for research.
