Workshop/Audition- Fresh Peach Dance

 
Fresh Peach Danceinvites you to a free workshop/auditionSaturday January 12th 11-1for ourMay 9th, 10th, and 11th productionof Tender Evolutions, a dance play about trauma and recovery that explores how sexism and homophobia affect relationship violence, and questions how to achieve absolute consent in intimate relationships. We are looking for a small number of dancers who are excited about working collaboratively around social issues and who are interested in developing their own choreographic voices in the context of advocacy and education.

Theworkshop will serve as an intro to the style of the show, with a sweat-full warm-up and facilitated movement development where you'll draw from your own unique movement vocabulary and body memories to make moves. You'll have a chance to hang and network with other folks in the dance/theater community, have some snacks, and learn more about the piece in May.Dancers in the May production will receive free high quality dance photos from the show and a small stipend to compensate for travel and other expenses.
