The Fall

 
 Simón Hanukai (director) and an international team of producers and designers are seeking actors and dancers to work on an original devised performance, The Fall (working title).

 

The Fall is an immersive multi-media interview-based theater performance, which will examine and uncover the world's relationship to the moment of the fall of the Berlin Wall as we approach its 25-year anniversary.

 

The process will take place in 3 phases, each culminating in a performance. Phase 1 - November 2013; Phase 2 – April 2014; Phase 3 – November 2014; International tour to follow.

Casting for 2 male roles. Seeking diversity in age (ideally, one male who can play 40 years of age or above, and one who appears 25 years old or younger). Non Union. $500 Stipend Provided.

 

This production welcomes age, cultural and ethnic diversity. Interested in casting individuals with ties to countries (communist and not) that were affected by the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Cold War. Speaking multiple languages is a plus. Experience with movement and improvisation a plus. Must be interested in working in a collaborative environment.

  

Auditions and callbacks will be held by invitation on September 10, 12 & 14. 

 

Final mandatory callback:

·       Actor and Dancer Workshop: September 15th, 10am-1pm. Must be there the whole time.

 

Mandatory Dates:

 

Rehearsals: October 1 - October 26, Tuesday-Thursday evening, Friday & Saturday afternoon

·       Performances: November 1-10  (Tech begins October 28th).
