The National Ballet of Canada is seeking male dancers to play the role of “guard” in its upcoming production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland presented by The Joyce Theater at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. Dancers must be able to commit to all rehearsals/performances from September 4-14. Compensation will be provided and you will receive two complimentary tickets to specific performances. The requirements are as follows.

Height between 5’10”-6’1”
Approx. 18-30 years old
Physically fit with good stage presence
Excellent musicality
Accomplished/advanced level of dance training.

To keep the search for guards manageable, we are limiting the pool of auditionees to 20, from which four guards will be selected.  Interested guards need to apply to audition by sending the following information via email to Jacquelyn Bickle, Programming Intern for The Joyce Theater at pintern@joyce.org no later than Monday August 11th:
