The National Ballet of Canada is seeking young dancers to play the role of “Hedgehog” in its upcoming production of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland presented by The Joyce Theater at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center. Dancers must be able to commit to all rehearsals/performances from September 4-14. Compensation will be provided. The requirements are as follows.

Must be of a slim build with height between 4’2”-4’4” (9-10 years old)
Able to count music and create character
Must be able to execute a forward somersault
Dance or musical theatre training ideal

To keep the search for hedgehogs manageable, we are limiting the pool of auditionees to 20, from which eight hedgehogs will be selected.  Interested hedgehogs need to apply to audition by sending the following information via email to Jacquelyn Bickle, Programming Intern for The Joyce Theater at pintern@joyce.org no later than Monday August 11th:
